iTunes 11.1 doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s with IOS 7 - phone is charging by iTunes doesn't see it. Any suggestions?

I upgraded my daughter's iMac to iTunes 11.1 and now it doesn't recognize her iPhone 4s. The phone will charge and DropBox see's it but iTunes doesn't. Any suggestions? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the software so that doesn't work. Thanks for any help!

Ugh! where to start? I dislike apple and iPhones now?! yes!

First, icloud does not sync my photos to my windows 8.1

Second, just a couple of days ago I was using my iphone (4s) as normally do, suddenly wifi connection stopped working. I know is not att because my brothers have iphones and they are able to connect.

I restarted my iphone SEVERAL times now and it still does not connect to any ******* wifi.

Third, Itunes does not recognize my device. I downloaded the most recent version, still does not work.

What is wrong apple?

You either fix the problem or fix it now! Or I will buy a windows phone.

Hello jlgougeon,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

For more information on this, take a look at:

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591

Follow these steps to resolve your issue:

  1. Ensure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Install software updates on your Mac.
Note: If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.http://apple.com/itunes/download
  3. Check USB connections. iOS devices require USB 2.0 to function properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, refer to the computer's specifications.
  4. Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
  5. Restart your Mac.

Best of luck,

Mario

I also have that issue. With iOS 7 everything was going great, but when I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7.0.2 iTunes says that the device can't be read. Then I see that there was an update for iTunes (11.1.1) and OSX (10.8.5) and after installing them everything kept the same, my iPhone couldn't be read by iTunes. iTunes gave me the option to restore my iPhone but I don't want to.
Any suggestion? Thanks

Help please! iTunes and iPhoto will not recognize my iphone 4.

I have a MacBook Pro... I have checked for all software updates on both...

IOS 7.0.2 on iphone is installed

Latest version for iTunes installed (11.1.1 or something)

They recognized the iphone for about 5 minutes then it dropped off again. My iphone is charging as I type and I have tried about 3 different cables and it doesn't work for any of them.

I would appreciate your help!

Thanks a lot

Best

Orange007, sthrudel, et al,

Apple never responds directly to bug reports. The Community Specialist and the ranked community members are the highest you will get here.

This is an issue that will require a update, and so Apple will not respond.

For those with the problem of the phone not being recognized, may I suggest that you make an appointment with the Genius Bar and they might exchange it, if they cn not resolve the problem. I hope you are all syncing to laptops, because sadly, they only way you will know if it is resolved is to sync to the laptop.

If you would list your specific iPhone model, computer model and OSs in your posts, it would help to see if there is a pattern to these issues. I have a similar problem, but it is sync failure.

When I click on the exclamation it says that my iphone can't be synced because it can not be found on the network, and if I click on 'sync' the phone icon disappears.
