Screen Lock IOS7

Can you no longer lock the screen while on a call in IOS7. IOS6 you used to press the top botton the screen would go black but would not drop the call. Now if you do that on IOS7 it drops the call from time to time. Also if the screen is black but the phone moves it activates the screen and then if your check touches the screen it mutes or drops the call. Tired of dropping business calls all the time. Anyone figured this out yet?

Sounds as if you have a problem with the proximity sensor on the phone. Do you have a case on the device? Do you have a screen protector on the device? If yes to either, try removing the case and see if it still behaves in the way you describe. If so, there may be something about the case that is blocking the proximity sensor. Whether it worked before or not, you still may need to check this.

User troubleshooting consists of restart, reset, restore from backup, and if needed restore as new. If the sensor does not work after these steps, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the Apple store and have the hardware evaluated.
