iPhone 4 running very slow on ios7

I've removed nearly all my apps,

I've removed all my songs and movies etc

I've removed all my photos

I've done a system restore reset

The above did speed it up a little but It is still running extremely slow since updating to ios7 and gets slower every update since

I can't roll back my iOS back and therefore my phone has been ruined by this update

I can't call apple as I don't have the extra cover to get support

Does this mean I'm stuck with a slow phone

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4

I'll go through and re try all these,

It is silly that we have to remove features and apps and songs etc just to be able to get the phone to run better when it was fine pre ios7.

IMO it just seems that Apple have intentionally bricked my phone buy upgrading the operating system to a spec my CPU and memory can't handle without a way to roll the process back. I've been a big apple fan and recently purchased a ipad air but this problem has really made me think about buying another I phone again.
