Cannot download iOS 7.0.6 to iPad 2

Cannot download iOS 7.0.6 to iPad 2

iPad 2 OS 7.0.4. Tried to download 7.0.6 several times over two days. Automated message says corrupted download. iPad 2 used with two excellent signal strength WiFi routers, Belkin N300 and Apple Airport Express 2nd Generation. An aside - the latter downloaded the companion update 6.1.6 for my 3GS iPhone, the installation successful.

I am in NZ, so the quality of the internet coonection to America has crossed my mind...

Any constructive help would be appreciated.

Connect to iTune and Check for Updates (tap to enlarge image)

Update the software on your computer using iTunes.

Drat, Apologies to all. I forgot to say I had also tried repeatedly to update my iPad 2 through iTunes. No joy there either.

Take it to your Apple Store and they'll help you download the update.

In my attempts to download 7.0.6, I overlooked the internet connection was still WiFi. Thought I could rely upon a modern router. Downloading was attempted on my iPad directly, or indirectly with my iPad plugged into my Mac Book. Finally, I connected the Mac Book via LAN intranet. Successful 7.0.6 download and installation on my iPad.

I had a good laugh at all of this,couldn't get the patch to work with the wife's Ipad 2.

I finally had to download I tunes on my PC and connect the ipad 2 to my PC to patched the iPad 2.

I would say That Apple should Thank Microsoft for helping them out;)
