Full screen caller picture on iOS 7.1?

I miss full screen contact photos in the phone app and I can't believe they removed that option. Apple should be giving us more options, not less. I hope they fix it but I'm not holding my breath.

I put so much work into my caller ID images just to have them displayed into a tiny circle right now. I hope Apple changes back to the previous incoming caller screen or provide us a way to revert back to the older iOS.

What a bummer! What a terribile idea from Apple to remove the full screen caller picture! This was one of the features I loved most on an iPhone. It was really really good that no other operating system had such a nicely designed feature. I just can't understand why big companies thinks that it is clever to take out the best features of their product after gaining huge popularity. Hope they will relaize and fix it in the next update.

Bad bad idea whoever recommended it for the first time for whatever reason.

There was a lot of crying about iOS 6 visual design, but one thing was great - usability. It was always obvious what is button, what is a link and what is a simple text. Fonts were compact and I even liked linen texture. Ive's design looks fresh and in some places beautiful, but it is also very inconsistent. Now we have great sliders for power off and answer, but lock screen is still ugly. Music player in Remote app looks much better than Music app in iOS and it matches overall system design better. Now we have that new incoming call screen where some rules, that exist in Ive's head were put to the front and usability was ducked into deepest A#S, so now when somebody calls you have to pick a phone and read. But what is I have 3 contacts named John Smith? Previously only a glance was needed to distinguish them, but now you have to pick a phone, and if you have miopia it's even harder. Johny Ive is a good hardware designer. But he should not be allowed to touch software in any ways other than using it.

My friend's Galaxy has such fullscreen feature, my old Windows Mobile 6 phone had such feature. My second phone today - dumb Nokia with keypad has such feature. All phones around me have big photo on incoming call. Apple really made a big mistake.

i guess that has to do something with carplay--since they cannot optimize full screen photo for all car displays, maybe it was easier to put all photos in that circle. could have kept full screen option on the phone, though.

I don't think that tiny photo on car display is safe for driving. Much better I you could briefly look at card display with big photo of person who is calling than wasting more time reading text and looking at tiny photo.

This is the most useless feature update i have ever seen.. and i thought apple was trying to make it easier for people with accessibilty needs to use the phone effeciently .. people with low vision are going to hate this! really bad move apple really bad

Highly disappointed by this move. I loved the caller id. Apple is screwing around with UI now.

COME ON APPLE...PLZ UNDERDTAND THIS...APPLE STILL HOLDS A PREMIUM LABEL TAG AND HONESTLY WE INDIANS REALLY HAVE TO PAY A BOMB TO GRAB AN APPLE PRODUCT NOT JUST FOR THE LOGO OR THE TAG BUT ALSO FOR THE KIND OF ELITE OFFERINGS APPLE HAS IN ITS PRODUCTS AND HONESTLY THE FULL SCREEN PICTURE CALLER ID IS SOMETHING LIKE A ZILLION OTHER APPLE FAN BOYS I TOO HAVE BEEN ATTATCHED TO RIGHT FROM MY IP3G TO MY IP4S....PLZ APPLE DO ROLL BACK THE SAME FEATURE OF THE FULL CALLER ID OPTION WHICH IS TAKEN AWAY IN TODAYS UPDATE OF 7.1...PLZ APPLE DO NOT LET YOUR GENUINE FOLLOWERS DOWN BY TAKING AWAY THE MAIN FEATURES WHICH MAKES APPLE DISCREET....I GUESS A LOT OF MY FRIENDS ACROSS THE GLOBE WILL SECOND ME AS THEY TOO MUST BE UNDER GONIN THE SAME PAIN GAZING AT THE INCOMING CALLER SCREEN WHICH IS PLAIN GREY AND A SMALL CIRLCE PIX ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE TOP THUS MAKING ONE FELL ALL THE MORE SAD AND ASKING ONSELF..."AM I REALLY HOLDING AN IPHONE RATHER THE SAME ON WHICH MADE ME PROUD ON DAY ONE WHEN I SAW THE FULL SCREEN IMAGE OF THE CALLER CALLING?????"

Interesting moment, if you follow this link http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/features/ , scroll down to Built-in apps and look at the Phone you'll see fullscreen picture as it was earlier. So there is the truth ?

Nothing interesting here. Your link shows iOS 7.0. Here we discuss iOS 7.1 where they changed it (it is obvious if you read this thread).
