How to use your Apple Watch for workouts without your glasses on.
If like me, you need glasses to read anything small but don't like wearing them to work out you might want to make the display bigger.
I show the SE2022 model for display purposes.
OK first ensure Zoom is enabled in iPhone, Watch app, My Watch tab, Accessibility
Set it to about 5x to start with (it seems to be area zoom not linear)
When your workout has started double tap with two fingers
If necessary use two fingers to move the display around to show your favorite metric
Advanced users can modify the workout to only show an important metric (for me at over 70 it would be heart rate BPM). The yellow elapsed time cannot be removed.
These always settle at the bottom of the display so that splits and zone messages which also occur at the bottom will appear in the zoomed screen.
