Since the WatchOS 10 update, the sleep mode focus no longer disables the touch screen and turn off the display when covering it with the palm. In the past, used to be able to interact with the watch by long pressing the crown. This is to avoid accidentally turning off the alarm/timers while sleeping. How do I re-enable that crown long press?

I think this is now a bug with WatchOS 10.1. The sleep app is still on my watch and my settings have not changed, but my watch face does not ‘dim’ when I am within my sleep hours. The watch screen is same as day settings. The only change I have made since the problem arose is updating to the new WatchOS

So, figured out that I had deleted the Apple Sleep app from the watch, that was the issue. After reinstalling and activating it, the sleep focus works as expected. It now turns off the display and requires pressing the crown to use the touch screen.
The Apple Sleep app is what allows that sleep focus behavior.
Same here. No longer dims. No logger requires crown press to activate watch screen. Now the light from the ****** thing wakes me up early in the morning if I accidentally brush it. Annoying!
Same here. None of my sleep settings changed but my screen no longer goes to sleep during my sleep hours. This update is the worst, most buggy yet. Nice work, Apple.
Having the same issue with an Apple Watch Ultra 2. Updated to 10.4 and the watch sleep screen no longer works. Trying to use the watch for sleep tracking at night, but impossible to do as the screen comes on whenever I move. Worked perfectly before the update.
Make sure watch display is not in "always on" mode.
I want it “always on” during the daytime, just not while sleeping. There is no longer an option for this.
How do I turn my watch off at night to go to bed?
Same happens to me since the 10.4 update. Apple watch series 9. I thought I was the only facing this issue, though I did something wrong.. but it turns out it is a bug.. and because of it, I can’t use sleep mode anymore.

I just saw that sleep tracking was not active anymore on my devices. After I turned on sleep tracking with apple watch (in the health app; sleep section), the sleep screen was back. 😍

Since the update I can’t turn my face of my watch when I go to sleep.
