Try connecting to Wi-Fi first, then try to place the call via FaceTime again.
If the above fails, then try this:
Under Settings - Mobile - SIMs - check if the SIMs are ON, then tap on the selected SIM and check if your mobile provider is listed under Network Selection.
If there is no provider or the wrong provider is listed, then contact your provider for troubleshooting.
Probably there is an issue with the esim activation.
I tried but it said "An error occurred while activating FaceTime. Try again"
Try deleting FaceTime and then download a new version from the App Store.
If this fails, check with your mobile carrier if your esim is properly installed.
