My apple watch screen is black.
I put it on this morning, but did not get the passcode screen.
I checked on my phone and it shows it is paired with bluetooth and fully charged. I've tried to turn off, but only get a vibration.

Try a forced restart to see if the issues persist
hold down the side button and the Digital Crown at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Yes, that did the trick!
I keep forgetting that combo.
I think my lesson here is to shut down my watch more often.
