Airpods pro blinking white and it doesn't pair it to Macbook pro

Hello

I am trying to connect my airpods to macbook prod and it doesn't pair it and i had t o long press/Hold on back so it pairs but no luck ..Keeps on blinking for ever but doesn't connect. Any inputs on how to resolve this prob ?
