For the past several days I have been unable to sign in. After entering password word (correctly) I get a message saying that App Store Connect is temporarily unavailable due to planned maintenance ... (1064).
I can access via a web browser just not via the app (on both iPhone and iPad).

If you have an add-on VPN client app, remove that, restart, and check again.
Confirm your system time is correct, too.
Restart your Mac and your firewall.
Failing that, contact App Store Connect Support.
Thank you. I don't use a VPN. I had already checked the system time (should have mentioned that in the OP). Today without doing anything I was able to connect. So the problem is solved but not the mystery. Anyway, thanks for taking time to offer your advice.
