Numbers file

I have used Numbers today for the first time to create a spreadsheet. I then exported it to PDF as I need to upload it elsewhere. The columns are now spread across multiple pages - six pages instead of two - and it doesn't look like a spreadsheet at all!. The links etc work but I need some help ion formatting this. I thought I could make it smaller so that it would all fit on and the viewer could zoom in when they receive it. No idea what to do. Any suggestions?
