Adding an already activated Apple Card to wallet

I received a new, replacement, card, and activated it successfully. Then both it and the old card were shown in Wallet. I deleted the new card instead of deleting the old card. How do I now, without the packaging, add the new card again?

This is what you can try, otherwise, it’s off to Apple and Goldman. Please log out of your Apple ID Account. This will remove all your credit and debit cards. It may also remove tickets and boarding passes etc. If you were backing up your Wallet app to iCloud, they may reload by themselves over 24 hours. You’ll need to manually add your credit and debit cards.

You Apple Card MasterCard (virtual) and Apple Cash card will probably auto populate your Wallet when you log back into your Apple ID/iCloud account. If they don’t, please follow this path,

iPhone > Wallet app (not settings) > Plus+ sign in upper right corner of screen > Available Cards > Previous Cards > look for Apple Card, Apple Cash and other cards. Clicking on Apple Card and Apple Cash card should load them in your Wallet and then just leave them alone. Your other cards will need to be verified again with the bank. But you should only need to add the 3 or 4 digit security code (CVV).

If that doesn’t work you’ll need to contact an Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank.

When I added the new card to the wallet, by activating it, both the new and the old card appeared as images of the cards. When I click on one of them, and then the little card icon that has 123 superimposed on it, I can access the full numbers of the cards, and the security codes--which I need. So, with this new card no longer appearing in the Wallet, I cannot access the numbers. How do I get it back to being an image and showing the numbers? The card that remains there, which expires in August, is the old card--which is the one I'm mailing back.
