Apple wallet

My boyfriend sent me 18 on April and 7 dollars in January on apple wallet I couldn’t access it and couldn’t even set up the Apple wallet it finally works in may but it said the request expired I expected that he got his money back but he didn’t ?? What do we do it’s been longer then a week
