Combobox not working with VoiceOver after updating to MacOS 14.4.1

After updating to MacOS 14.4.1, the functionality of using a combobox with VoiceOver turned on has been affected. Previously, I could expand the dropdown menu and select items from the list using the down arrow key, but after the update, the dropdown menu no longer expands with the down arrow, and VoiceOver does not provide alternative options. This issue is reproducible with various other UI libraries' comboboxes, including Reach UI's Combobox which was working fine before the update.

Is there a way to make the combobox accessible in 14.4.1?
