cant rename voice memo recording on iPad mini iOS 15

I’m running iOS 15.8.2 on an iPad mini. I made a recording using the Voice Memo app today. The default name showed up as a date/time instead of New Recording as it usually does. I tried to change that to a new name and it seemed to accept the new name, but immediately went back to the date/time name. Also, the other recordings I had showed up with the correct names when I opened the app, but all reverted to a date/time type of name. When I look at my voice memos on my iPhone running the latest iOS, they show the correct names.

Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it on the iPad?
