Turn off Apple Watch annoying navigation?

When driving, I have my navigation (whether Apple Maps or google maps) on my phone in the hands free phone holder so I can see the maps and hear the audible while driving.

but my Apple Watch vibrates and shows me the navigation at the same time and it’s annoying AF because I always think it’s a text message or other notification. It’s also more distracting and dangerous to look at my watch while driving every single time the navigation tells me to take a turn.

I tried turning it off from my watch before, but it deleted it from my phone entirely and I had to download it all over again.

how can I turn it off from just the watch only?
