How to Keep Apple ID Unlocked?

Each time I use my apple ID, it gets locked and I have to go through the process of unlocking it. This is not a password issue - the passwords used are correct. Can we get Apple to update its procedure to leave valid accounts with successful password challenges unlocked? Or is forcing users through the unlock process for each login considered "good security?"
