How can i find my case with one airpod but i have one of them

I connected my airpods like normally in public i used left and the right one was still in the case i accidentally left it somewhere and so i fuguired to use the find my but since i still have one connected or well atleast with me i cant manage to find the case by looking on find my and it just shows that they are with me.
