Oops message in gmail after printing failed

On my iPad I attempted to print a single page of an email. It never completed, but it does not show when I double click on the Home button. The printer is functioning normally.

Now, when I open gmail, there is an Oops, something went wrong-some changes may not be saved message. How do I clear it?
