Putting A Specific Website Widget Of Chrome On HomeScreen On Ipad

(I want when I click the widget that website opens.)

How can I do this on Ipad?

I Found A Workaround.

It's not perfect & I'm not sure if it will provide the solution you're looking for but either way it's a handy option for other purposes.

Place A Chrome Widget On Your Homescreen.

To find the widgets:

  • click & hold your home screen until the apps wiggle
  • There should be a plus sign button at the top left hand corner of the screen
  • click the plus sign
  • then select the chrome app in the menu on the left side
  • now, it will show you the available options to choose from

As of writing this, there are 3 options.

I'd Suggest The Widget that has a search bar with the quick links/shortcuts underneath it.

Then go into your Chrome browser; on the new tab screen, you can follow the steps to add new shortcuts (URLs). [video tutorial linked below]

Then, change the settings to show the shortcuts, not the most recent sites.

That way, when you use the widget, your chosen URLs (the shortcuts) appear on your iPad home screen using the Chrome widget!

Here's the video on how to set up your shortcuts inside Google Chrome.

Hope this helps!
