Since latest Sonoma update I can't play or rip CDs with Music app. I've seen this has happened to other users as well. I've tried the standard solutions with no success. Bug fix necessary in 14.3.1?

A CD will flat out not play. When trying to import in Apple Music, I do receive the box asking if I would like to import. After selecting import the error states: Error occurred while converting the file “go”. An unknown error occurred (-54). I tried playing with the correcting errors checkbox in import setting with no luck.
When I insert a CD, Music app will fetch titles and cover. But when I try to play it, it doesn't work. And when I'm trying to import the CD I get the same error as J-B-C-O "An unknown error occurred (-54)".

Just tried it with a commercial CD (bought in a store) and one I burned years ago. Neither will play. Just ripped the commercial CD and am listening to the music now. Will test the burned CD as soon as I'm done enjoying the music I just ripped. :)
Update: I just tried VLC and was able to play the burned CD. Cranked up Music and now it's playing there as well.
Same here - seems to be a bug.
What exactly happens when you put in a music CD?
I can't test this now, as I don't have a CD drive handy, but I may try later using an old "Superdrive" that I have back home in a USB case.
I gave Music full disc access to fix the same issue.
