Vision Pro lense flare / glare

I was shocked when I read your post, because I said to myself when did I posted this because , it happened the same with me like you describe it , and Apple support, helped me with the diagenesis and everything in the hardware is good and they said just go to Apple Store to try different fits ( The problem is the nearest Apple Store is 12 hours flight ) and I hope it’s just a software issue 🙏🏼.

This is an issue with how pancake lenses work. Light leakage or dirty lenses could be an issue, but more than likely your lenses are clean and you are seeing internal reflections within the optical lens assembly itself.

Example: In a dark room (no light leakage around the light seal), turn on a nighttime environment like Joshua Tree, then just scroll your home icons left and right. You can see the reflections of the icons travel across the surfaces of the lenses too. Depending on how high/low you position your head, the reflections will shift within the lenses to match as well.

There may be some variation from unit to unit on how much internal reflection exists, and each user will be bothered more or less by the issue. Many reviewers have noted phenomena if you search around. I experienced it to such a degree I wound up returning my AVP even though there are many things to like about it too.

I have the same issue. I already carefully clean up the lens, but i feel the dirty is inside the lens that I can't even clean it by my self. I going to bring it to apple store and let them check it out.

The feeling is like you wear glasses but your glasses got oil or finger print on it. that feeling is so annoying.

Some light leakage around the nose is normal and you might try another light seal fitting at an Apple Store to see if this improves the glare. It is being reported by others in Cinema mode though. You can let the engineers at Apple know by submitting feedback: Feedback - Apple Vision Pro - Apple

I have the same problem. The glare is incredibly annoying, pretty much ruins the experience. Hopefully there will be some sort of a fix.

I’m having this issue too. If it’s a software issue I hope it gets fixed soon.

For what it’s worth I see the same thing… it also bothers me quite a bit ; and I also worried it may be how clean the lenses and rx inserts are… but I had meticulously kept them clean.

I’ll try lighter environments if that cuts down on the effect.

I am also seeing a glare and it seems to have just started yesterday. I have cleaned and redid the lens eye set up but it’s still there snd it’s distracting— like someone on their phone in the row in front of you at the movies. Hard not to focus on it.

im experiencing the same issue but I guess this is normal and a nature of VR because it also happens to other products such as Xreal Air 2 Pro.... :(

Having the same issue and don't try to be truthful here about these devices or the Apple bots will remove your post.

Same here. I live in Dubai and the Apple Store doesn’t support Apple Vision Pro yet. I do have the same issue though.
