apple ultra open water ??? Disaster

Apple ultra does perfectly in swimming pool recording lengths but is just no good in open water records time heart rate but no distance .. have spent hours talikng to apple reps in singapore and going over the same dumb questions just get the gps sorted please i use an garmin swim 2 on other wrist and it works perfectly huge difference in prices for watches ??? ultra does everything else perfectly pretty dissapointing
