It is a sad state of affairs, when we have to use Canva to get a decent export with audio that isn't gain distorted.
Upon update to the "new" fantastic 10.7 - audio is messed up upon export. Nothing has been done to the audio track... import video, add an endcap, export... and garbage audio. Can someone provide some insight;

Might be phase cancellation when a stereo track is mixed to mono. Or perhaps the tracks not being treated as stereo and center panned.
It sounds correct in both the browser and the timeline? Only happens on expert?
What are the media specs and the project properties?

Perhaps the Audio Analyze options were enabled in the Import settings?
Are you running 10.7.1? What does it sound like in 10.6.x?
What does the source file sound like in QuickTime Player?
Those are the clip properties. Select the clip in the browser. Go to the Audio inspector. Open it to its full length (double click the header) and post a screenshot. Maybe we can see what's being done to the clip.

The Audio Import features are in the FCPro Preferences:
If on, the Fix audio problems may have overcranked your audio thinking it was helpful.
Auto features sometimes just get it wrong.

In FCP, it is poor (edited) in browser and timeline and as exported.

I agree with Alchroma (or is it AI Chroma?). I would uncheck all of the "fixes" in the audio inspector. Try not to use those at all unless you really feel hey will help.
