Can I buy an iPad using chat?
It's about 3 AM here in California. I know stores are closed but can I buy an iPad now using chat? Since they are newly introduced the stores and phones will be super busy during the day.

No - but you can purchase on-line from the Apple website.
When purchasing online directly from Apple, you can choose between pick-up in-store - or can have the item delivered to you. The website will shown availability, which may differ between stores.
You can also order in precisely the same way directly from Apple devices using the Apple Store App:

Be aware that as the new iPads Pro M4 and Air M2 have only just been released for sale, demand for some models may outstrip initial supply. As such, you may have to wait for stock to become available. Shop around - as some stores may have stock where others have exhausted their initial product allocation.
