iPadOS on my iPad Pro is not compatible to support Norton

Norton has said this iPad Pro operating system is not compatible to receive their software

While you cannot install the Windows PC/Mac versions of Norton on your iPad, Norton do have a suite of Apps intended for iPad and iPhone. These can be found within the Apple App Store; just search for "Norton".


That said, be aware that there are no true Antivirus Products available for iOS/iPadOS. Those that claim to provide AV protection are little more than “snake oil” - and should generally be avoided as they can cause more issues than they resolve. Most install a local network proxy on your device - that will route all incoming and outgoing network traffic via the AV Provider.


Providing your iPad has been kept up-to-date with system software updates, you should not be overly concerned for your iPad being directly compromised by malware. Due to the system architecture of iOS/iPadOS, unless jailbroken, your iPad is not susceptible to traditional malware infection per-se.
