Airpods Pro - Voice to Text not working

I am having trouble for some time now (probably more than a year) whereby when I try to dictate to my iphone 12 pro max, when wearing my Airpods Pro, the text outcome is random and has nothing to do with what I just dictated. I verbally say one thing and iphone writes something random.

When I do the same directly on the phone, without wearing the Airpods, the text outcome is fine.

I have tried to remove and reconnect the Airpods to my phone but the problem persists.

Any ideas?

I have tried this and it works fine-only noticed that 3-4 seconds into recording voice volume goes low and up again (for 1 sec) and then high throughout.

Also when I speak with people on the phone it works well.

Something about dictation with Airpods is the issue.

Hi!

Have you tested out the microphone? You can try record a video or voice memo using your AirPods and play it back to see if there are any quality issues with the microphone.
