HP Scanner loads document, Scanner app shows No Document Loaded

I am trying to fix my HP LaserJetPro MFP M281fdw. I have updated the Mac software, reset the printers in preferences and reinstalled them. When I open the scanner app it says No document is loaded through the document feeder and the Scan button is grayed out. But on the HP it shows a document is loaded and is ready to be scanned.
