Issue changing the e-mail linked to my Apple ID

I've been trying to change the e-mail linked to my Apple ID for days now.

First it wouldn't let me because the email I was trying to change it to, was linked to my notification email address.

I then proceeded to undo that vinculation, but every time that I tried to change it to the desired email, a sign would appear telling me that this linking couldn't be done right now and that I try to do it again later.

Please help!
