Watch vibrations & sounds stopped working

I use my watch for my morning alarm, I’ve done so since I had a series 3. It was working well until the Thanksgiving holiday. I don’t know why that matters but that’s when it stopped working. I have checked every setting I can think of but I can’t get the alarms to work. The image shows up on the watch face but there is no vibration and no sound from either the watch or the iphone. (I also have an iPhone 13 Pro. Silent mode is not on for either device. I have sounds and haptics turned on, volume on maximum, haptics turned on & set to prominent.

On my iphone I went into Focus settings and manually added alarms as an allowed app plus made certain Time Sensitive is turned “on”. Sounds & Haptics are tuned on in the sleep schedule and the Alarm options are set to “Wake Up Alarm On” with “Sounds & Haptics at full volume”

I have turned the phone off & back on and the same for the watch.

This also carries over to other sounds & vibrations. In fact, NONE of the sounds & vibrations are working on the watch at this time.

I have no idea what else to do. I’m at a loss. Please help!

tIn addition to what ChrisJ4203 said, the first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
