i bought a 2010 macbook pro 13" from a local store, it had linux on it, and i took it back and got high sierra on it, whenever i start up the computer, it has about 30 seconds-1 minute of lines of code, and text, streaming down the screen, then it boots up to the sign in screen help please.

Try a PRAM Reset (hold the PRAM Reset for at least three chimes if possible).
Once you boot back into macOS you should reselect the default startup disk in the Startup Disk System Preferences so there is only a minimal delay in booting macOS when powering on the computer.
