Apple Watch Ultra 2 internet connection

I can’t check for updates as it says I am not connected to the internet but I am connected to my home wifi and Bluetooth and internet is working on my phone. The watch app on the phone has the same message.

You check for Watch OS updates on your Watch app on your iPhone. If you already know that and you are having a problem, please start by restarting the Apple Watch and then check for the update on your iPhone and install per the directions in the Watch app. Of course your iPhone must have a working Wi-Fi connection to connect to the Internet so please make sure you are connected correctly on the iPhone before attempting to update your Ultra 2.
