iPhone Set Up Other Passcode

Helping a family member set up a new iPhone 15, and we got up to the step asking to enter the passcode of the other iphone. Oddly, this 6 number digit code it asks for was never something that was attached to the old phone. The old phone has a passcode with letters. What do I do?
