Play Count Won't Update between Apple Music on Android and Apple Music on Mac

About six months ago, I switched from iPhone to Android, and I've been using the Apple Music app on Android with an Apple Music subscription. It works great, the only problem is that when I play a song on my phone, the play count doesn't sync with my Mac. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!
