problem with system preference for mouse

I have two older Mac Pros. Having recently bought a new Mac, I've been setting these up to run older software using OS 10.10.5 Yosemite. I installed the OS on two 1TB SSD drives. One went in the older Mac Pro, a 2009 I think, the other went in a 2012. Same installer, a boot disk I made with generous help from here.

The older Mac Pro is so far absolutely perfect. The newer one however has a strange mouse System Preference for Mouse that thinks all mice are the old ones with a roller on top and buttons on the sides. I can use my Magic Mouse 2 with this computer but I can't set it up properly. And it thus doesn't really work right. On the older Mac Pro, I have the modern Mouse Preference that has a little color video of the mouse and fully accommodates the Magic Mouse 2. That mouse works great.

How can I fix this problem? Is there some buried piece of software that's missing on the newer Mac Pro that I could copy and paste over to the new one? I really don't feel like reinstalling the entire system and migrating all over again. It took all day. Twice.

Thanks in advance!

Mac Pro, OS X 10.10

Needs 10.11 OS wise to meets the OS Reqs, 2012 Macs are not listed as comparable, I suspect the Bluetooth version...

Magic Mouse - Technical Specifications - Apple Support

Actually, I made a mistake. One mouse is the original Magic Mouse. I do have two Magic Mouse 2s. The second one is paired with my new computer.

The software I believe is wrong on the 2012 Mac Pro. It doesn't show features for the Magic Mouse, only for old fashioned models with buttons. As a result, when I click the right side of the mouse I get a menu on screen, which I find irritating and can't change. I can only effect a click on the left side, as if there was a button like the old mice. The Mouse preference is totally different than it is on the install on the older Mac Pro. Installed from the same source.
