Iphone activation failed

My iphone 10s was working fine but refused to be updated. I did a reset, phone refused to be activated even in safe mode. Went to the apple store and they said they could not do anything about it because its a Server thing and they don't have access. Told me refused activation is probably because of some damage inside the phone. Stupid, because:

1. if the software recognizes a defect part why can it not communicate which part so i can swap it out and activate my phone?

2. If it’s for example the speaker or camera, i still want to be able to use my phone, even without the defect part.

now, i feel like they highjacked my phone, which is no way better than all those viruses that lock down your pc so you cannot use it. A perfectly good working phone, thrown in the bin because of a server activation

so, in short, anyone knows a way to solve this issue?
