hi i only wanted to ask what are the risks of having developer mode turned on on ios, because i wanted to make an app for myself, but i cant afford apple developer program, so i want to know is using a developer mode safe

Developer mode enables side loading apps, which includes bypassing the app store checks.

When you’re not actively doing development (the free tier can load a limited number of apps), turn it off.
When you’re doing development, you know what the code is doing.
If you’re side-loading apps from elsewhere, who knows what happens.
Have good backups, etc.
