Wifi speed on macbook air is slowing down

I am using a macbook air 13" (mid 2012) macos Catalina 10.15.7.

Lately i feel that my wifi speed has decreased. When i run a speedtest on the macbook inside my bedroom i can only get download speeds of about 17Mbps.

If i move out of the room, closer to my wifi router i can get speeds of upto 150Mbps.

I am quite sure i was getting faster speeds in my room a few months back.

Is there a diagnostic i can run on the macbook to determine if the wifi card in my macbook is working properly or if there has been a degradation in performance.
