Macbook Air Sonoma 14.4.1 - Time Machine / Time Capsule sooooo slow.....

I use an old Time Machine (connected via my router) for my time capsule updates.

On my Macbook Pro running Catalina it worked well and was quite fast.

This week I have upgraded to a Macbook Air 15" running Sonoma.

I can see the TM on airport utility and all is connected, but the progress is sooooo slow! In two days, it's managed to backup 1GB only!??!

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to speed this up?!?

If you value your user data

3-2-1 Backup Strategy: three copies of your data, two different methods, and one offsite.

More than one device, more than one backup methodology.

If the drive is failing, replace it.

All drives fail in due time, not if but when...

If in doubt try a new backup drive and compare your results.
