If you share your location with someone, does it notify you in some way if they stop following your location or will I always see ‘xx can see your location’ regardless if they removed you?

It's you who has to grant someone the ability to know your location (track you). The only step you need to take is to NOT grant someone you don't want to know your location, the ability to know your location.
Thanks! So no notification however can I know they stopped following me somehow? Will they be removed from my list of people that can see your location in the find me app if they are the ones to decide to stop following my location?

As long as you have granted someone access to follow you, you'll see that. If they stop following you, you won't get a notification at all they have stopped.

Nothing will show up your phone. If you don't want anyone to know where you are, DON'T give them the ability to track you. No one can track you, unless you give them access to track you.
