Restoring Ipod Nano/Battery Life

Hey,

My battery has been annoying, just recharged it fully today...used it, it was perfect...for a car ride of like 30 minutes (after that only used a LITTLE battery). Put it in my pocket, then like 3 hours later on the ride back I turned it on and the battery was almost dead !?!?!?

I read up here, did some resets and downloaded the new updator, just restored it. Now I would like to set up the iPod again, before I had it called "Jeff's Ipod" and had all my info on it (like you set up from the start). Now it just has Ipod for the name, and I dont know how to set it up.

How can I do this, and do you think I should try anything else for the battery (if this doesnt work, I just got this nano 3 weeks ago and have a 1 year warranty so I can bring it to the shop in the mall nearby if need-be).

Thanks for your help in advance,
Jeff

Jeff - when you restored your Nano you erased it and returned it to factory defaults. Connect it to your computer. In iTunes click on the iPod name in the left column and type in a new name. Click on iPod preferences and set it as you had it before - manual update, sync selected playlists, whatever.

I don't know what happened. I can only guess. Perhaps when you put the iPod in your pocket you didn't move the hold button and the iPod was running all that time. I do know that the battery indicator is very inaccurate. Perhaps it showed almost no charge but had more than you thought.

Now, my nano is still charging so I cant check its "About" page. I changed the name already, but will it have in the About part in my iPod the serial number and everything still? Or is there some way I must enter this?

And I had it on Hold while it was in my pocket..so I dont think it was on...And to make sure the indicator wasn't being inaccurate, I just let it run for a bit and sure enough it died.

I think there is something wrong with my battery? Any more suggestions/answers to this?
