MacBook Pro Fan/heating problems after upgrade to Catalina 10.15.7

Hi,

After upgrading my MacBook Pro 2017 tot Catalina 10.15.7, I'm experiencing fan/heating problems.,

The problem starts directly after booting the system.

I've tried the SMC reboot option, which seems to resolve it for the time being, but the next morning the problem was back and again the SMC reboot resolved the issue.

Before the upgrade I had no problems what so ever with my MacBook, anyone else over there experiencing the same probs ???

Hi Mattymusicman,

Thx for your suggestion, I've reinstalled macOS and the problem seems to be resolved.

Hi,

Try just to boot with Command + R option to Utilities and select reinstall macOS it will not touch your data but replace system files maybe something did not go to well on the upgrade.
