Which fonts are used on the keys of a MacBook (Air/Pro)

While designing a virtual keyboard mapper, I wonder which font or fonts would allow covering all the symbols found on MacBook keys. Fontawesome covers only a few.

You really made my day! The SF Pro font indeed contains all the missing glyphs (and much more) to complete my virtual keyboard mapper. SF is (not surprisingly) a heavy-weight font for web use, but it works like a charm.

  • the mission control key in the SF font is called rectangle.3.group
  • the launchpad key is called square.grid.3x2
  • the keyboard illumination buttons called light.min and light.max
  • and a perfect match with the screen brightness buttons called sun.min and sun.max.

I wrote 'all' because I do no think one font exists that contains all the glyphs one can find on a MacBook keyboard. Thank you Tom, for the tip on the Character Viewer and Font book. I found a few extra glyphs in Apple Symbols, so we're almost there: More specifically, the glyphs on the F3-F4-F5-F6 buttons remain particularly hard to find.
