I am having a hard time with my GTL Mp3 player. My iMac will not even recognize my Mp3 player as a Drive, let alone a full loaded Mp3 player? How do I overcome this problem?

The first thing you need to do is check with the developers of the Mp3 player to see if it is supported by the version of Mac OS installed on your Mac. If it is check their instructions on how to connect it. Please don't assume that is supported, it may not be!

Where did you get the GTL Mp3 player? From the info I've been able to gather from Google searches that device is a secure tablet designed for prisons and their kiosk. It has a secure, password protected app on it that I assume, once unlocked, lets it connect to other devices. Is that what you have?
Did you check with the developers of the device to see if they support Mac OS. If they do not then it will not work for you. In that case it would be wise to find an MP3 player that works, I would look into an iPhone which would work just fine.
One thing I should inform you about is that the Mp3 player is Android, my desk top is 2022 iMac OS Ver: Sonoma.
