Pages App often freezes on iPad pro

My pages app freezes on IPad pro 3rd Generation using OS version 17.4.1, 512 GB with 453 GB free. I am using 2TB on icloud for data.

The file that freezes has a table with 20 rows and 8 columns. Simple text, numbers and no pictures, videos or any other complex data.

The file freezes approximately for a minute or minute and a half and starts to work sometimes for 3-4 min or less and again freezes.

I don't know if it auto saves or is struggling to cope with simple commands.

Is this normal for iPad pro? Do I need to chack or change some settings to work without freeze?
