Getting "A duplicate file name was specified." when launching iTunes

I was recently asked to agree to an update of my Windows 11 iTunes instance to version 12.13.2.3. This is on a new Windows 11 Pro 64-Bit machine. Curiously, this is also the first time that I've been asked to install iTunes from the Microsoft store. So far, that experience has not been good.

Now, every time I try to launch, I get a pop-up error message saying, "A duplicate file name was specified". Unhelpfully, the message doesn't tell me *which* file iTunes thinks is duplicated.

Note - this has nothing to do with my attempting to sync a device with iTunes, just launch the executable.

Is this normal? Is there an iTunes log I can check for issues? Windows has a built-in Event Viewer utility, which I checked, but I don't see any events or errors being reported by iTunes. Can anyone suggest how I find out if this is an issue and, if so, which file it iTunes believes to be duplicated?

Thanks in advance.
