iPod / Laptop Travel solution

Hi, I'm looking for a travel solution. I have all my music on iTunes on my Mac and I travel with an old school iPod. The wired headphones are really quiet even at max volume on iPod, so I wondered if there is an easy way of listening on my AirPods via my MacBook?
