iOS17.5 iPad Air 2024 - “UNABLE TO SAVE CHANGES” in PHOTOS after editing

After editing photos in PHOTOS, I keep getting this error message:

”UNABLE TO SAVE CHANGES. An error occurred while saving. Please try again later”.

This is incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time as I spend lots of time editing photos. Is there a fix? This is a major bug that was not there with the older iOS versions I used.
