How do we get Apple to remove stale solutions from Community answers?

The solution provided in "Reinstalling iTunes latest version" (on Windows) is stale. The Apple website sends me right to the MS Store. MS Store does not give the option to reinstall, only "open". Well, iTunes hangs soon after prompting for password. No, "repair" didn't help. I'd like to know how to safely uninstall and reinstall without losing my significant, long-term investment in "authorization required" music. The community is filled with stale answers that don't work.

Suggestion: instead of locking old discussions and suggesting that I "ask a new question", give us the option to downvote an answer and a reason, such as "instructions no longer valid".
